A Day with Artists

This is a wonderful way to discover the soul of Mexican art. We will take a day to visit several well know Mexican artists while they are at work! They will open their studio's to us, so you will be able to watch them at work.  You can enjoy not only the wonderful art but you will be able to talk with them and have the opportunity to buy their art directly from the artists themselves. What ever you can't take with you they will gladly ship so it will be waiting for you when you arrive back home. A truly magical day.

Class in Mexico

Each month we will offer a variety of art classes. You will be able to take one of these c
lasses while you are here in Mexico. 
We have well known artists in water color, ceramic's, Mosaics, silver jewelry, dichroic pendants, pre-hispanic art and much more.
All fee's and materials needed will be supplied and you will be able to take home  a piece
of art that you made! A wonderful gift to take home or to remember your trip.


Ballet Folklorico

Ballet Folklórico is a folkloric ballet presenting dances in costumes that reflect the traditional culture of Mexico. This absolutely breathtaking performance that will simple captivate you for the entire evening.
The ballet and musical pieces reflect various regions and folk music genres of Mexico. Many of the ensemble's  reflect the traditions of indigenous Mesoamerican culture. Numbers of performers in individual dance numbers range from two to over thirty-five.


Boat trip to Scorpion Island

This is a wonderful afternoon ride on the shores of Chapala giving you a completely different perspective of this little town. You will be visiting Scorpion Island, which is so small and secluded that it is only accessible by boat. There are a handful of quaint outdoor restaurants on the island ready to serve you. The island is named because it is said to be shaped like a scorpion. Come and join us for a very relaxing boat ride and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets that this region is so famous for!


Natural Mineral Hot Springs

A wonderful way to relax on your vacation is at the Thermal Hot Springs of San Juan Cosala. These incredible Thermal and Mineral swimming pools are maintained at temperatures from 34 to 42 centigrade. The water flows directly from the hot springs, starting at 98 centigrade, which is cooled and pumped into the various pools. Each pool offers a different experience in this magical place.

Tequila Tour

One of the “must do” activities when visiting Guadalajara, is a trip to the town of Tequila to get a glimpse at how Mexico’s national beverage is produced and experience its role in Mexican culture.

The town of Tequila is located about 37 miles west of Guadalajara. There are more then 30 tequila distilleries in and around Tequila, including the José Cuervo factory right in the center of town. On this tour you will learn more about the old and new processes of making Tequila from harvest to fermentation to distillation to bottling.

You will then be invited to join in a traditional Mexican meal in the main dining hall, of course accompanied with lots of Taquila.

ENART; National Exhibition of Art and Gifts

This is the largest exhibition of Artisan and Mexican art crafts, decorative accessories and gift items in the area and only happens 2 times a year. You will be allowed to buy these specialized items at wholesale prices. This tour is only available in August and February.
More than 200 artisans display the colors, textures, shapes, and styles, in over 45 art related categories: Accessories on Iron, wood, laminate, leather, Alabrasto, ethnic crafts, Fiber, Glass, Christmas articles, Religious Articles, Decorative Clay, Quarry, Ceramic, Talavera Decorative Ceramics, Pottery, decorative and functional copper, glass, paintings, Equipales, Sculpture, natural fibers, paper flowers, Lamps & Lighting Fixtures, Silver Jewelry and Seed, Toys & Accessories, Planters, Tablecloths, Furniture, Iron, Wood, Leather, Onyx, Paper Mache, Handmade Stationery, Pewter, Recycled resins, Clothing, Souvenir, Candles, Glass Blowing and more.

Maestro del Arte

Every November the best Artisans from all over Mexico show their works of art at the Maestro del Arte. If you are here for the November tours you will have the once a year opportunity to see and purchase one-of-a-kind hand-made folk art while learning about Mexican culture. You will even have the opportunity to meet and interact with the artists!  Some of the participating artisans are the nationally renowned maestros (master artists) featured in the coffee table book The Great Masters of Mexican Folk Art; others are undiscovered artisans worthy of recognition.

Folk art is defined as "a wide range of objects that reflect the craft traditions of various social groups, produced by people with little or no artistic training using established techniques and styles to reflect a particular region or culture."
